A Christmas Story (1983)

Plot: It’s Christmas time and there’s only one thing on Ralphie Parker’s Christmas list this year: a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-Shot, Range Model Air Rifle, but many obstacles stand in the way of his dream because every adult that he confronts keeps telling him he’ll shoot his eye out. Meanwhile The Old Man just got a major award (a lamp shaped like a woman’s leg), and Mom is making sure The Old Man doesn’t come near her turkey, Ralphie’s friend gets his tongue stuck to a flag pole, and Ralphie utters the f-word infront of his father. Christmas is drawing nearer and Ralphie visits Santa at the department store in hopes of asking him for his dream gift. Will he receive it? Let’s hope so.

I Feel Like My Girlfriend is Controlling Me And It Is Really Getting To Me! Help Please?
Hey Everyone I Feel really bad coming here and asking for help but I really do feel like this is my only place I can turn to right now for advice. Let me start off by saying me and my girlfriend have been dating for just over 6 months. I’m 15 and she is 16 so she is a year older then me and we both go to the same high school.

I met my girlfriend in grade 9, she was 15 and I was 14 at the time. We started going out a couple weeks after we. When we started going out everything was going well she was my first girlfriend. As the weeks progressed she started to get clingy. After dating a couple weeks she told me she loved like a lot and I was perfect for her. Because I was only 14 the clinginess and the fact that she told me she loved me kind of scared me. So I broke up with her a few weeks after.

When I broke up with her she went physco and started telling everyone i was a jerk and got many people to hate me and get mad at me. I eventually sorted it out when i told them my side of the story but after that was solved she wouldn’t leave my side. She followed me everywhere I went and constantly texted me and everything. She got mad at me if i talked to my other friends and if I said why do you keep following me she would go around tell everyone how mean I was to everyone and then they would all be like wow why are you so mean to her. She constantly made fun of me to all my friends and really put me down. Things got even worse when a month after I started to like another girl. She started getting pissed at me over facebook and got her friends to kind of do the same. She also didnt like my best friend at the time because it was the only person i could really talk to and kind of feel good around. So she started telling me he was talking behind my back and wasn

How fast/quickly is the military able to despatch and mobilise its forces into any town/borough of the UK ?
i know this sounds far fetched and totaly fictitious and impossible, but what if something like ‘28 weeks later’ , becomes true - we have a mass outbreak of zombies, would this situation SEROUSLY put the military to the test ?

Just how quickly could the Armed forces be deployed, its choppers, fighter planes, tanks, APC’s etc etc ?

would we be on the backfoot against a threat of this nature - and if so - would we have to quarantine and build check points, bufer zones, giant fences and barricade safe zones from unsafe zones ?

or would the outbreak prove too deadly and make the military turn on its own poeple ?

if you were cheif of army staff, or something, what decisions would you make to approach this mass epidemic of the walking dead - how would you advise the pm of England ?

forget about Scotland - lets concentrate on securing our own borders for now.

Im a Marine, and my opinion is the movie is actually pretty correct from a military aspect. The best idea would to bulid a "SAFE ZONE" actually secure it, then only after your sure there is no more infecttion in your safe zone would you try to eleminate the threat. At the same time i guess it makes a huge difference if their is a vaccine to the outbreak, (haha i sound like a tactical nerd), but to completly eliminate the infected is the first priority, but after that is achived rebuliding can start, sorry i didnt talk about boarders and positions but thats the main points i would do.

that would be crazy. i bet all of the world leaders would get together and decide to annihilate the uk lol, its small enough. Think about it, the virus could seep into the ocean through sewers, infected birds could migrate to other countries. It would be a touchy situation and would need to be dealt with fast. U bet they would turn on their own if it meant saving the world, atleast i think. Lets hope a zombie virus never breaks out huh? lol

The first part of your question, the Special forces could reach anywhere in the UK within 2 hours and dependent on circumstances hold until back up arrives,
